Since 2008, 54 famous experts from 12 countries and areas including Germany, USA, UK, Japan, Korea, China, China Hong Kong and China Taiwan etc. have been the juries of Red Star. They are not only from design industry but also from economy, media and marketing areas, which guarantee the impartiality and publicity of the award.
Through strict screening, 139 products from 88 applicants are awarded in 2008 including 1 best of the gold prize,9 gold prize, 12 Best Originality Prize, 117 excellent prize and 1 Best Design Team Prize. Besides, for honoring the good design in Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, China Red Star Design Award Committee arranged “Olympic Design Special Prize”.
